How to replace the front side door handle on Chevrolet Prizm?

The first step to replace the front side door outside handle requires removal of the front side door water deflector. Proceed by opening retainer rods (3, 6) and removing lock rods (2, 5) from the outside Door Handle while separating it from the lock cylinder . The two bolts and the outside Door Handle need to be taken out from the door . To replace the bolt and the Door Lock Cylinder of the outside Door Handle detach them independently from the bolt if required. Install the Door Lock Cylinder onto the outside Door Handle before fastening it with the bolt that requires 5.5 n.m torque (49 lb in). To assemble the front side door install the outside Door Handle onto the door before securing it with two bolts while tightening them to 5.5 n.m (49 lb in). Place both lock rods (2, 5) into the outside Door Handle and lock cylinder and connect them by using the retainers (3, 6). Install the front side door water deflector as the last step.
