How to replace the front door lock on Chevrolet Prizm?

Beginner lock replacement requires removing the guide that frames the rear window of the front door. The first step includes disconnecting both the inside handle rod from Door Lock and its connecting rod to the vehicle before removing the lock rod knob from front door locking rod. Stand these elements aside by removing the lock rod from both the outside Door Handle and the Door Lock Cylinder. Remove the electrical connector for the power Door Lock actuator when the system is equipped. Disassemble the Door Lock system by removing its attached rods including the Door Lock Cylinder rod, outside handle lock rod, door locking rod and also taking out the screws and bolt when power door locks are present. Begin by mounting Door Lock rods to the Door Lock and finish with screwing the Door Lock into position through the door and using the installed bolt when power door locks are available. Align the electrical connector of the power Door Lock actuator if installed before securing the lock rod to both the lock cylinder then to the outside Door Handle. Reinstall the front door rear window guide after fitting the inside handle rod to the Door Lock and the knob to the door locking rod on the Door Lock.
