In order to substitute the coolant recovery reserve, we first remove the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) without disconnecting the wiring harness. Next, use Hose Clamp Pliers (J 38185) to relocate the hose clamp and then pull the hose off the coolant recovery reservoir. That's next, remove the retaining nuts for the reservoir for coolant recovery and plug and pull out the reservoir itself, draining coolants out of it. Installation: Start by placing the new coolant recovery reservoir into position and tight by using retaining nuts to 8 - 11 Nm (6 - 8 ft. lbs). Reconnect the hose to the coolant recovery reservoir, relocate the hose clamp with the Hose Clamp Pliers (J38185), and replace Powertrain Control Module (PCM) back before topping off the reservoir with coolant.
