A: Start the replacement of engine oil pressure sensor or switch with the following essential tools: Oil Pressure Switch socket (J 41712). Oil Pressure Switch socket (J 41712). Begin by wiping down the sensor area with a cleaning solution so that no debris can enter the engine. Separate the Distributor and remove the Fuel Pump/oil pressure sensor electrical connector. Remove the Fuel Pump/oil pressure sensor with the Oil Pressure Switch socket (J 41712). Make a note of how the engine oil pressure sensor fitting is positioned before you remove it during the process. You must apply sealant to the threads when installing the old fitting. The fitting should be tightened to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.) before you adjust the torque to achieve a 50° angle between the fitting centerline and the Crankshaft centerline. First seal the sensor threads with the specified adhesive before refitting it back into the system. Install the sensor through the Oil Pressure Switch socket (J 41712) and torque it to 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.). The last step involves reattaching the Distributor while connecting up the Fuel Pump/oil pressure sensor electrical connector.
