How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for Bank 1 Sensor 1 on Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Classic?

In order to replace the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) for Bank 1 Sensor 1, one should first raise and support the vehicle accordingly. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer and remove the HO2S electrical connector as well. Remove the bank 1 HO2S . When installing, apply a special anti-seize compound in the HO2S threads - liquids made of graphite wadding and glass beads; When new or replacement service sensors arrive, this compound is pre-applied. If replacing the old sensor, apply anti-seize material GM P/N 12377953 or its equivalent to the threads. The bank 1 HO2S , install and tighten it to 42 N.m (31 lb ft). Reconnect the HO2S connector and CPA retainer and then lower the vehicle.
