How to replace the pitman arm on Chevrolet Silverado 2500?

Vehicle support alongside proper elevation enables the replacement of the Pitman Arm. The next procedure requires the removal of the power steering gear. Place the power steering gear inside a vise before you can remove the Pitman Arm nut together with its washer. Detach the Pitman Arm from its shaft through use of the Pitman Arm puller (J 6632-01) or alternative Pitman Arm puller (J 29107-A). Always use a new Pitman Arm washer before installing it on the power steering gear followed by tight-fitting the nut to 250 nm (184 ft. Lbs.). Lower the power steering gear from the vise before reinstallation. Lower the vehicle and perform the wheel alignment test as the final step.
