To remove the Throttle Body assembly, first, be gentle with the electronic throttle control pieces to avoid any damage and refrain from using any small hand tool to keep the throttle plate open, because of the threat of internal wedge damage. Start by partially draining the cooling system in order to remove the hose at the Throttle Body; next, remove the air cleaner outlet duct and the engine sight shield. Remove the Throttle Body cool air bleed hose and reposition the coolant air bleed hose clamp. Disconnect the throttle actuator motor connecter. Next, unbolt the Throttle Body nuts and the Throttle Body and throw away the old Throttle Body Gasket. For installments, put a new Throttle Body Gasket, install Throttle Body, and torque the Throttle Body nuts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Reconnect the coolant air bleed hose and its clamp, confirming that the throttle actuator motor harness connector and seal slide in and are in good condition. Connect the throttle actuator motor electrical connection , re-install the engine sight shield , and the air cleaner outlet duct. Refill the cooling system, and scan it with a scan tool to identify whether there is a throttle-opening and throttle-closing variation. Operation of the accelerator pedal such that it is free between closed throttle and wide open throttle (WOT), verifying it is not operating in reduced engine power mode, ignition is on and the engine is off prior to starting the engine and checking for coolant leaks.
