Chevrolet Suburban 2500 Headlight Bulb Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to service the front headlight bulb on Chevrolet Suburban 2500?
A: Start the service of the headlamp bulb by opening the hood and rotating the headlamp retainer pins to remove them. To reach the electrical connector of the headlamp assembly you need to take it out from its position. You must twist off the bulb inside the headlamp assembly in a counterclockwise direction. The installation process requires you to use a high beam bulb with a red gasket for replacement while using a low beam bulb with gray tip and yellow base gasket for the other bulb. To finish the installation insert the bulb into the position and twist it clockwise until it locks securely before connecting the electrical connector. The new headlamp assembly together with its retainer pins should be installed followed by a rotation to lock the pins in position. Check the operation to verify proper system functioning after installation completion.
