Chevrolet Tracker Fuel Injector Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the fuel injector on Chevrolet Tracker?
A: The first step before servicing or repairing the Fuel Injector requires you to relieve fuel pressure. Start by disconnecting the electrical connector from the Fuel Injector then remove the bracket hold down at the rear of the Intake Manifold using the bolts along with the hold down bracket bolts from the Intake Manifold before extracting it. The high pressure and return hoses should be detached from the fuel pipes before removing the hold down bracket bolt securing the fuel pipes. First remove the three retaining bolts securing the Fuel Rail then take out the Fuel Rail before proceeding to remove the fuel injectors . To mount the fuel injectors you should apply motor oil to the o-rings first before fitting the fuel injectors onto the Fuel Rail. The Fuel Rail requires attachment to the Intake Manifold after securing it with three retaining bolts using 30 n.m (22 lb ft) torque. Fasten the fuel pipes hold down bolt with torque values at 25 n.m (19 lb ft). You should install the Intake Manifold reinforcement bracket along with both retaining bolts while tightening them to 25 n.m (19 lb ft). Mount the electrical connectors onto each Fuel Injector after which you should install the diagnostic tool. Activate the fuel pump by enabling it with the scan tool while keeping the engine off, then search for leaks to do any required fixes.
