How to replace the hood latch on Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Start the Hood Latch replacement process by eliminating the grille. Mark the position of your latch on the bracket with a grease pencil or suitable marker before removing its attaching bolts. Remove the Hood Latch from the vehicle by disconnecting its cable then taking out the latch from its position. The installation process requires you to attach the Hood Latch cable to the latch before putting it in position at its previously marked location on the mounting bracket. Screw in the bolts which hold the latch to the mounting bracket and tighten them to 10 n.m (89 lb ft). Thoroughly inspect the latch operation before putting away the hood and readjust the latch-to-striker alignment if needed. Finally, reinstall the grille.
