How to replace the Rear No. 1 Seat Cushion Pad and cover on Chevrolet Trailblazer?

When replacing the seat cushion cover and pad for the Rear No. 1 of TrailBlazer EXT and Envoy XL models use the Clip Removal Tool (J 36796). Start by taking off the J-strips from the seat pan-cover junction followed by compressing the foam to loosen the seat cover assembly from the pan. When removing the seat cover retaining strips be sure to avoid pulling the adhesive-backed strip attached to the seat pad. Detach the seat cover through retaining strip separation followed by removing both the cushion and cover assembly from the seat pan frame. Remove the Hog-ring reinforced bar and remove the cushion cover. Install the cover to the cushion first before connecting the reinforcement bar to the hog-rings. First align the retaining strips on the cover with the cushion before locking them into place. Then attach the seat pan onto the combined cushion and cover assembly. Ensure the foam is compressed before attaching the seat cover and cushion onto the seat pan with active J-strips that support the cover attachment to the seat pan.
