How to replace the rear brake disc on Chevrolet Uplander?

Raising your vehicle and supporting it underneath marks the first step to replace the rear Brake Disc. Take off the tire and wheel setup. Hook up heavy mechanic wire or an alternative to support the brake caliper whenever you disconnect it at the mount position during maintenance on the hydraulic flexible brake hose to avoid damage. Use a wrench to remove the caliper bracket bolts then take out the brake caliper assembly and its bracket together from the knuckle while keeping hydraulic brake tension off the hose. Use a socket to take out the Brake Disc retaining screw. When needed pull the disc straight out while gently turning it. Before installing parts you must scrub off rust or dirt from both hub/axle flange and Brake Disc contact surfaces using tools from wheel hub resurfacing kit (J 42450-A) and rotor resurfacing kit (J 41013). Put the Brake Disc onto the hub/axle flange and attach it with its screw. Secure the screw tightly to 10 n.m. Take measurements of the brake system when the Brake Disc was replaced during service to verify if it runs level. Adjust if necessary to meet brake system standards. Put the brake caliper and Brake Caliper Bracket onto the suspension knuckle and fit back the tire and wheel parts. Drop the vehicle and perform pad and disc burnishing if the step is needed.
