How to replace the EGR valve on Chevrolet Uplander?

The first step for EGR Valve replacement includes removing the air cleaner inlet duct together with disconnecting the electrical connector from the EGR Valve. First raise and support the vehicle while you detach the transaxle case bolt for the fill tube then the nut at the EGR Valve location before readjusting the tube properly. After lowering the vehicle you should unscrew the egr pipe bolt while tugging the pipe assembly back before removing the EGR Valve bolts together with the EGR Valve and its gasket. The surfaces where the EGR Valve Gasket mates need cleaning before inspection. After installing an EGR Valve Gasket you should position the EGR Valve before tightening EGR Valve bolts to 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Fasten the EGR Valve pipe back into position with bolt retention at 25 n.m tensions (18 lb ft). After connecting the electrical connector to the EGR Valve you must raise the vehicle while positioning the transaxle fill tube at its regular place then securely fasten the fill tube nut at the EGR Valve to 113 n.m (115 lb in). The transaxle fill tube installation begins with attaching the fill tube bolt onto the transaxle case before tightening it to 113 n.m (115 lb in). The vehicle should be lowered afterward for the air cleaner inlet duct reinstallation.
