    A: Both the PCV valve and the valve rocker arm cover must replace together because the PCV valve cannot be detached from its position. The first step involves taking out the left valve rocker arm cover from the engine block. The PCV valve can be cleaned instead of replacing the rocker arm cover when it proves non-defective. The procedure to clean this valve starts by taking out screws that secure PCV baffle followed by cleaning the PCV valve. The replacement of the valve cover becomes necessary when the PCV valve proves defective or uncleanable. Begin installation of the cleaned PCV valve by placing the PCV baffle first followed by securement of the PCV baffle screws to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.), then continue with left valve rocker arm cover installation.
