How to replace the liftgate hinge on Chevrolet Venture?

You need to take out both the liftgate and the headliner before starting to replace the liftgate hinge. Apply a grease pencil on the body at the liftgate hinge location. When ready remove the roof retaining nuts before taking off the hinge. Set the new hinge into the marked positions on the body and attach the hinge retaining nuts before tightening liftgate studs to 25 N.m. Attach the liftgate and place the headliner back in its position afterward.
