  • Q: How to replace the intermediate steering shaft on Chevrolet Venture?
A: The process of installing a new intermediate Steering Shaft begins by first identifying two essential requirements.alignment of the front wheels and a lock position of the Steering Column prevent both structural misalignment and any harm to the sir coil assembly. Elevate your vehicle before reaching the adjacent Steering Shaft crank. Shift the intermediate Steering Shaft seal for exposure to the lower attaching bolt. Use a wrench to detach the lower pinch bolt from power steering gear stub shaft and freely separate the intermediate Steering Shaft. You must lower the vehicle next to remove the left knee bolster. Then use the intermediate Steering Shaft seal to reach the upper pinch bolt. Asthe final step disconnect the intermediate Steering Shaft from the Steering Column after you remove its upper pinch bolt. Before installation follow the fastener notice precautions then align the intermediate Steering Shaft correctly before fastening the upper pinch bolt at the Steering Column using 48 nm torque. Start by positioning the intermediate Steering Shaft seal on the Steering Column then raise the vehicle again along with supporting it while you connect the intermediate Steering Shaft to the power steering gear stub shaft. Begin by attaching the lower pinch bolt at the power steering gear stub shaft while tightening it to 48 nm (35 ft. Lbs.). Next, position the intermediate Steering Shaft seal onto the power steering gear. Lower the vehicle before reinstalling the left knee bolster.
