How to replace the starter motor on GMC Acadia?

The replacement process starts with disconnecting the battery's negative cable. Proceed by removing the left Catalytic Converter component. First remove the Starter heat shield bolt and shield while next disassembling the Starter solenoid bat terminal nut and the battery positive junction block cable terminal. The Starter's removal procedure requires the Starter solenoid bat terminal nut and the battery positive junction block cable terminal to be detached before disconnecting the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the Starter. The Starter bolts must be removed next to fully remove the Starter itself. Start by mounting your Starter then apply the bolts while maintaining 50 nm (37 lb ft) torque. Beginning with Starter installation attach the engine wiring harness electrical connector before joining the battery positive junction block cable terminal to the Starter device. Fasten the Starter solenoid bat terminal nut installation while applying 25 nm (18 lb ft) torque. Place back the Starter heat shield and bolt before you tighten the bolt to 7 nm (62 lb in) then put the left Catalytic Converter into place. Reestablish the connection of the negative Battery Cable last.
