GMC C2500 Window Motor Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the rear side door window motor on GMC C2500?
A: The first step to replace the rear side door Window Regulator motor is window elevation; in case the motor fails to operate you can remove the window to access the motor retaining screws. Start by first uninstalling the door trim panel together with the water deflector before holding up the window. To prevent the cable from detaching from the spool never remove the cable gear from the housing during bolt removal from the front side motor area (115 001 01). To extract the Window Motor from its placement within the cable housing you should wiggle it while observing its initial direction after which you can retrieve the motor piece from the Window Regulator assembly. You need to insert the motor gently inside the cable housing before tightening the 3 bolts (115 001 01) to 5 n.m (44 lb in). Reinstall the window before you can install the wiring harness to the Window Regulator motor and remove the window support. After checking the window operation using the wire connector you can reinstall the water deflector along with the door trim panel.
