  A: Before you install a new air filter you need to free the clips securing the air cleaner cover followed by removing the cover. Check the entire lower air cleaner housing assembly for debris or damage before inspecting the air filter which should be removed from this component. Make all necessary repairs. Alignment of filter opening must be performed with duct opening before you connect the filter's alignment feature to the retainer inside the lower air cleaner assembly. Position the air cleaner cover tangs into lower air cleaner housing assembly slots until the cover rests completely in position. Download the air cleaner cover and align the filter's alignment feature with the retainer in the cover before fastening the air cleaner clips to the cover.
