The first step to replace the rear side access door upper striker requires users to open the rear side access door while removing its upper door striker trim cover. Begin by uninstalling the bolts holding the upper side access door striker to the body then unfasten the striker itself. Follow the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions when you put the upper side access door striker onto the body for installation. Fasten the striker when installing its bolts to a torque of 25 N.m (18.14 lb ft). Place the rear side access upper door striker trim cover back and shut the rear side access door.
