How to replace the A/C Accumulator on GMC Jimmy?

First obtain all refrigerant from the system before you can replace the A/C Accumulator. The pcm along with the engine Coolant Reservoir must be removed from the vehicle. The nuts together with ferrules will stay on the evaporator tube and you should leave them there. The A/C Accumulator must be taken out by removing the nuts from the evaporator tube. Apply 525 viscosity refrigerant oil to the new o-rings before putting them on the evaporator tube. Place the A/C Accumulator onto the evaporator tube by directing its flow arrow towards the evaporator. Secure the A/C Accumulator nuts by tightening them to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Evacuation and recharging of the a/c system must happen after which engineers must carry out leak detection on fittings by using the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A). The completion of the process requires reinstalling the pcm along with the engine Coolant Reservoir.
