How to replace the Dipstick Tube on GMC Jimmy?

The installation of replacing the oil level indicator tube begins with removing both the oil indicator and right Exhaust Manifold. Begin by removing the oil level indicator tube bolt before you twist the oil level indicator tube while detaching it from the engine. Before installation cut off any residual sealer from both the engine block along with the oil level indicator tube. The engine block requires gm p/n 12346004 sealant or equivalent at a 13 mm (0.5 inch) distance below the tube bead before installing the oil level indicator tube along the specified rotation. Attach the oil level indicator tube bolt while tightening it to 12 nm (106 inch lbs.). The right Exhaust Manifold and the oil level indicator should be reinstalled after completing the installation.
