How to Change the Mirror Switch on a GMC Sonoma?

To replace the power folding outside Mirror Switch, unhook the negative cable of the battery first. Slowly lift up the leading edge of the folding outside Mirror Switch on the flat-bladed tool and remove the accessory switch panel from the arm rest by pulling-up plastic cover at the front leading edge, without breaking wires. Then, unplug the electrical connector from the power folding Mirror Switch. To install, connect the electrical connector to the power folding Mirror Switch, and install the power accessory switch mounting panel onto the armrest, with the retainers locking into place. Install the power folding Mirror Switch to the door trim panel again making sure that the retainers are locked, and finally reconnect the negative Battery Cable.

How to replace the Power Folding Outside Mirror Switch on GMC Jimmy?

The first step for replacing the power folding outside Mirror Switch requires the battery negative cable to be disconnected. A flat-bladed tool should be used to open the leading edge of the folding outside Mirror Switch with careful precision. First remove the accessory switch panel by gently prying the front part of its cover up at the leading edge. Maintain all electrical linkages during this step. You should disconnect the electrical connector from the power folding Mirror Switch unit. The installation process begins with attaching the electrical connector to the power folding Mirror Switch after which the power accessory switch mounting panel gets secured into the armrest where it locks into position. Third, reconnect the battery negative cable as the last installation step.

How to replace the power mirror switch on GMC Envoy?

The replacement process for the power mirror switch begins when you remove the outside mirror switch retaining tabs from the trim panel by using a flat-bladed tool. After that, take out the outside mirror switch from the trim panel before disconnecting the electrical connector from the power folding mirror switch. Install the power folding mirror switch by connecting its electrical connector then placing it on the door trim panel before applying force to make sure all retaining tabs are properly seated.
