You should first lift the vehicle so the lower control arms can freely dangle. Procede with extreme caution by securing the coil spring remover and installer (J 23028-01) to a suitable jack to prevent personal injury while removing the shock absorber from the system. The tool should be placed under the inner bushings and then users should remove the stabilizer shaft link. Begin by lifting the jack beneath the tool to ease tension on the lower Control Arm bolts and remove the bolts and nuts starting with the back bolt first. Use slow movements to lower the lower Control Arm after releasing coil spring tension yet avoid applying pressure on the lower Control Arm or lower Ball Joint.
