How to replace the rear wiper arm on GMC Safari?

You need to place a visible mark on the liftgate to locate the Wiper Blade. First move the washer hose into the liftgate grommet and cut the cable connection at the washer harness connector. You will remove the Wiper Arm when you raise it off the liftgate and engage a tiny screwdriver to push the retaining clip out prior to taking off the arm from the wiper motor drive shaft. Put the new Wiper Arm directly on top of the wiper motor drive shaft and place its blade tip at the marked spot. Insert the Wiper Arm onto the shaft and force the retaining clip back in place. Put the washer hose back in the lift gate grommet by rejoining its fitting to the washer harness. Check the wiper work after you activate the rear wiper.
