  A: Begin the replacement of two-piece propeller shafts by lifting the vehicle then supporting the propeller shaft with safety stands. Begin the procedure by removing the bolts securing the center bearing to its bracket then take out both the bracket and the bearing. Proceed with the removal of the hanger bolts until the hanger is detached. First move the bolts and yoke retainers from the rear axle pinion yoke before disconnecting the propeller shaft from the rear axle pinion yoke . Pull the propeller shaft rearward from transmission attachment points to extract it. Initiate by joining the propeller shaft with the transmission before fastening the propeller shaft to the rear axle pinion yoke. Mount the bolts and yoke retainers onto the rear axle pinion yoke while tightening the rear axle pinion yoke retainer bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). The propeller shaft hanger requires reinstallation along with its bolts which need to be tightened to 52 Nm (38 ft. lbs.). To install the center bearing you must place it onto the bracket before using the center bearing bolts to tighten them at 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
