First you need to uninstall the air cleaner and duct assembly before parially draining coolant from the system and removing the coolant recovery reservoir. Starting with the Radiator Hose separation from the Thermostat Housing proceed to remove Thermostat Housing bolts followed by removing both components. First clean the mounting areas for the gaskets before you add a new Thermostat. Fasten the Thermostat Housing to the Intake Manifold before tightening its bolts to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Reinstall the coolant recovery reservoir and therapist housing Radiator Hose before you return the air cleaner and duct. To complete the procedure you should fill the cooling system then extract air from it before examining the Thermostat Housing and its gasket for coolant leakage.
