GMC Savana 3500 Wiper Arm Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the wiper arm on GMC Savana 3500?
A: Begin by placing the wipers in park position before dismantling the washer hose from the air inlet grille panel. Take off the protective casing from the Wiper Arm nut and then unscrew the nut. If the Wiper Arm stays fixed on the Drive Shaft try both a Wiper Arm puller (J 39822) or a battery terminal puller to remove it. After breaking free use the tool to pull off the Wiper Arm ahead of removing the Wiper Blade. Install the Wiper Blade onto the Wiper Arm and secure it to the Drive Shaft by positioning the Wiper Arm until its center falls between the black locator dots on the lower center windshield. The wiper arms function correctly only when installed based on their stamped markings. Position the Wiper Arm close to the air inlet grille before tightening its nut to 26 n.m (19 lb ft). Reinstall the air inlet grille cover after you tighten the nut. Then reconnect the washer hose elbow to the air inlet grille panel. Test the wiper movement to confirm it works correctly.
