How to replace the wiper arm on Chevrolet Express 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before you replace the Wiper Arm, make sure the wipers are set to park and take off the washer hose elbow from the air inlet grille panel. Take off the cap on the Wiper Arm nut and afterwards remove the nut. In case moving the Wiper Arm doesn't help it come off, use the Wiper Arm puller (J 39822) for better grip. After loosening the Wiper Arm, take it off the Drive Shaft and take off the Wiper Blade from the arm. When installing, put the Wiper Blade onto the Wiper Arm and double-check you have not switched the left and right stamped wiper arms. Put the Wiper Arm onto the Drive Shaft and line up the center of the Wiper Blade with the black marks on the lower center windshield. Put the nut on the Wiper Arm and tighten it with the nut near the air inlet grille to 26 n.m (19 lb ft). Screw the nut cover on and re-connect the washer hose elbow onto the air inlet grille panel. Finally, move the wipers back and forth to test that they are working as they should.

    Q:
How to service and repair the wiper arm on Chevrolet Express 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
You should set the wipers to park position before removing the washer hose elbow from the air inlet grille panel. Lift the protective plate while unscrewing the wiper nut before taking out the Wiper Arm's nut. When rocking the Wiper Arm does not work to detach it from the Drive Shaft try the Wiper Arm puller (part J 39822) or a battery terminal puller instead. Move the Wiper Arm side to side to detach it from the Drive Shaft before taking off both components together. Install the Wiper Blade onto the Wiper Arm before fitting it onto the wiper Drive Shaft. Also normalize the wiper arms because each Wiper Arm carries a corresponding indicator stamp to prevent swaps between the left and right side. Place the measuring tool at right angles with the Wiper Blade and put the Wiper Arm onto the Drive Shaft. Keep a 70mm (2.75inch) gap for lh Wiper Blade tips and 65mm (2.56inch) gap for rh Wiper Blade tips starting from the air inlet grille panel. Frankly attach and fix the nut by turning it to 26 n.m torque before you put covers back and place the washer hose back into the air inlet grille panel. Test the wiper function and examine if the system works correctly.

    Q:
How to service and repair the wiper arm on Chevrolet Express 3500? Posted by Customer
    A:
You need to first park the wipers and pull off the washer hose elbow from the air inlet grille panel when repairing the Wiper Arm. Peel back the cover from the Wiper Arm nut and then take out the nut. Should rocking the Wiper Arm not work to remove it, use a battery terminal puller to help you get it off the Drive Shaft. When it is loose, carefully rock the Wiper Arm side to side to remove it from the Drive Shaft, then take off the Wiper Blade from the arm. When installing, put the Wiper Blade on the Wiper Arm and be sure not to confuse the left and right arms, as they're clearly stamped. Make sure the measuring device is at a 90-degree angle to the Wiper Blade as you attach the Wiper Arm to the Drive Shaft, making sure the lh tip is 70 mm (2.75 in) and the rh tip is 65 mm (2.56 in) away from the air inlet grille panel. Put the nut onto the Wiper Arm and tighten it to the correct torque of 26 n.m (19 lb ft), then cover it. After that, connect the washer hose elbow to the air inlet grille panel, and activate the wipers to make sure they are working.

    Q:
How to replace the wiper arm on GMC Savana 3500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin by placing the wipers in park position before dismantling the washer hose from the air inlet grille panel. Take off the protective casing from the Wiper Arm nut and then unscrew the nut. If the Wiper Arm stays fixed on the Drive Shaft try both a Wiper Arm puller (J 39822) or a battery terminal puller to remove it. After breaking free use the tool to pull off the Wiper Arm ahead of removing the Wiper Blade. Install the Wiper Blade onto the Wiper Arm and secure it to the Drive Shaft by positioning the Wiper Arm until its center falls between the black locator dots on the lower center windshield. The wiper arms function correctly only when installed based on their stamped markings. Position the Wiper Arm close to the air inlet grille before tightening its nut to 26 n.m (19 lb ft). Reinstall the air inlet grille cover after you tighten the nut. Then reconnect the washer hose elbow to the air inlet grille panel. Test the wiper movement to confirm it works correctly.

    Q:
How to replace the wiper arm on GMC Savana 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start by setting wipers into park position while disconnecting the washer hose elbow from the air inlet grille panel. Get rid of the Wiper Arm cover nut and remove the corresponding Wiper Arm nut. To break the Wiper Arm's connection from the Drive Shaft, first try rocking it back and forth and then use the Wiper Arm puller (J 39822) or a battery terminal puller. Avoid using common screwdrivers on wiper arms. After loosening remove the Wiper Arm from the Drive Shaft before you detach the Wiper Blade from the Wiper Arm. During installation replace the Wiper Blade to the Wiper Arm except avoid swapping the lh or rh wiper arms because they bear identifying stamps. Attach the Wiper Arm to the Drive Shaft by ensuring a 70 mm (2.75 in) spacer between the lh Wiper Blade tip and the air inlet grille panel and a 65 mm (2.56 in) distance for the rh tip. Slip the Wiper Arm nut onto its position then tighten it by 26 n.m (19 lb ft) force. Reinstall the washer hose elbow onto the air inlet grille panel before checking wiper operation along with securing the nut and replacing the cover.

    Q:
How to replace the wiper arm on GMC Savana 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start replacement by moving the wipers to their park position followed by detachment of the washer hose elbow from the air inlet panel. Unscrew the protective cap from the Wiper Arm nut before taking out the nut. Use Wiper Arm puller j 39822 or battery terminal puller whenever the Wiper Arm fails to disengage from the Drive Shaft when rockered back and forth. Pull away the Wiper Arm after you free it from its position. Place the Wiper Blade over the Wiper Arm before mounting the arm to the Drive Shaft. Make sure the Wiper Blade center points with the black locating dots on the lower windshield center. The wiper arms must remain in their correct position because installation tags specify left and right sides. Affix the Wiper Arm securely using the nut which you must place next to the air inlet grille to reach 26 n.m (19 lb ft) of torque. After covering the nut install the washer hose elbow back onto the air inlet grille panel then test the wipers for correct functioning.
