You need to begin by taking out the
Rocker Arm part along with disconnecting the
Spark Plug wire from the Spark Plug by turning each boot 1/2 turn and then smoothly pulling on it. When the engine reaches room temperature loosen spark plugs half to one full turn before air or brush cleaning the plugs for complete removal. Place j 22794 adapter into the Spark Plug port then link an
Air Hose to control valve position during service. Load the j 38606 valve spring compressor tool onto the valve spring to compress it before taking off its valve stem keys (225) and easing the valve spring stress with j 38606. First detach valve springs, valve spring caps (224), valve stem seals (222) and valve pieces (228). Apply clean engine oil to the valve guide and
Valve Stem Oil Seal after preparing their installation locations. Place valves (228) into their designated ports and fit the Valve Stem Oil Seal (222) followed by the valve spring (223) and valve spring cap (224). Use manual pressure from j 38606 to compress the valve spring then set valve keys in position using grease until they reach their grooves on the valve stem. After you let go of the valve spring carefully watch for correct placement of valve keys before removing the tool. Strike the valve stem tip firmly with a plastic face hammer to place the keys before taking off the j 38606 tool. After pulling out the j 22794 from the Spark Plug position start the engine and fasten the plug with15 n.m torque. Put Spark Plug Wires onto the
Ignition Coils and spark plugs then examine all wire boots for correct installation by pushing sideways on them to check for loose ends before adding the Rocker Arm.
