How to replace the coolant reservoir on GMC Sonoma?

Start replacement of the coolant recovery reservoir by uninstalling the PCM but leaving the wiring harness intact. Use Hose Clamp Pliers (J 38185) to move the hose clamp position then extract the hose from the coolant recovery reservoir. First, empty all coolant fluid from the reservoir by removing its retaining nuts and taking out the reservoir completely. Fasten the new coolant recovery reservoir into position with retaining nuts set to 8 - 11 Nm (6 - 8 ft. lbs.). Reposition the hose clamp with Hose Clamp Pliers (J 38185) then connect the hose to the reservoir before returning the PCM to its original position. The process concludes by adding coolant into the reservoir.
