The first step toward Radiator replacement of a 4.3l engine requires draining the cooling system and relocating the coolant recovery hose clamp from around the Radiator. First detach the coolant recovery reservoir hose before you put the hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to work on relocating the Radiator inlet hose clamp prior to removing the Radiator inlet hose. The hose clamp pliers (J 38185) should be used to reposition the Radiator outlet hose clamp before the removal of the Radiator outlet hose.
