After removing the oil level indicator tube bolt you should gently turn the oil level indicator tube to separate it from the engine components. Cleaning previous sealer exists both in the oil level indicator tube and engine block is necessary. Use gm p/n 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) sealant or an equivalent equivalent on the oil level indicator tube 13 mm (0.5 inch) below the tube bead before installing the tube into the engine block with its proper rotation position. Fasten the oil level indicator tube bolt to 12 nm tension (106 inch lbs. Torque value). The last step involves reinstalling both the right Exhaust Manifold and the oil level indicator.
