Vehicle transmission mount replacement begins by elevating and stabilizing the car followed by attaching a transmission jack under the transmission. Take out the retaining nut connecting the transmission-mount to transmission-support before lifting the transmission above the mount's weight-bearing point. To extract the transmission mount from the vehicle you must first raise the transmission just enough to take out the transmission mount by disconnecting its mounting bolts. Begin your installation process by attaching the transmission mount to the vehicle but always follow the fastener notice in service precautions instructions first. You should mount the transmission with its mounting bolts before setting them to 45 nm (33 ft. Lbs.) for 2.2l vehicles and 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.) for 4.3l vehicles. Lower the transmission until it reaches the transmission support retaining nut before tightening it to 57 nm (42 ft. Lbs.). Remove the transmission jack and lower your vehicle.
