    Q:
How to replace the Motor and Transmission Mount on Chevrolet Blazer? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step for transmission mount replacement requires proper vehicle suspension and elevation methods. Begin by removing bolts securing the transmission mount shield and then remove the shield itself if present. A transmission jack should support the transmission while you remove any retaining nuts or bolts found on the transmission mount. When available remove the transmission mount shield bracket. Lift the transmission when possible to remove weight from the mount before removing the mounting bolts which link the transmission mount to its interface points. Lift the transmission at the proper height to separate the mount before extracting the transmission mount from the vehicle body. Position the new transmission mount onto the vehicle before installing the mounting bolts to both the transmission or transfer case adapter while tightening the bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.). Install the transmission mount shield bracket after lowering the transmission. Secure the transmission mount using retaining nuts or bolts which must reach a torque specification of 57 Nm (42 ft. lbs.). Remove the transmission jack, then install the transmission mount shield and its bolts if equipped, tightening the front bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.) Attach the rear bolts to 33 Nm while using 24 ft.lbs of torque and tighten the front bolts to 50 Nm at 37 ft.lbs. Finally, lower the vehicle.

Lift the transmission a little for the transmission mounting disconnected and removed off the vehicle. For installation place the new transmission mount and install, the bolts that hold them into place with the transmission for 2wd and transfer case adapter for 4wd vehicles tightening bolts to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs) for 2wd vehicles and, 47 nm 35 ft.-lbs 4wd vehicles. Lower the transmission then the nut nut securing the transmission mount to the transmission support and tighten the nuts to the 40 nm (30 ft. Lbs.). Finally, take out the transmission jack and lower down the vehicle.

Reinstall the transmission mount into its proper position within the vehicle before tightening the transmission mounting bolts to 45 nm for 2.2l equipped vehicles while using 50 nm for 4.3l vehicles. Put the transmission mount into the transmission support retaining nut before tightening it to 57 nm (42 ft. Lbs.). You should lower the vehicle while removing the transmission jack.

How to replace the Motor and Transmission Mount on GMC Sonoma? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process starts by lifting and sustaining the vehicle while using a transmission jack as transmission support. Climb the transmission before loosening its support retaining nuts so you can raise the transmission above the mount weight. Start by taking out the transmission mount from the vehicle after you've raised the transmission enough to remove its adapter mounting bolts. Insert the transmission mount into your vehicle then torque the transmission mount bolts to 45 nm 33 ft. Lbs for 2.2l engines or 50 nm 37 ft. Lbs for 4.3l engines at the transmission or transfer case adapter. Position the transmission mount at the transmission support maintaining a torque of 57 nm (42 ft-lbs) on any retaining nuts. How to replace the NV 3500 Motor and Transmission Mount on GMC Sonoma? Posted by Customer
    A:
Vehicle transmission mount replacement begins by elevating and stabilizing the car followed by attaching a transmission jack under the transmission. To extract the transmission mount from the vehicle you must first raise the transmission just enough to take out the transmission mount by disconnecting its mounting bolts. Begin your installation process by attaching the transmission mount to the vehicle but always follow the fastener notice in service precautions instructions first. You should mount the transmission with its mounting bolts before setting them to 45 nm (33 ft. Lbs.) for 2.2l vehicles and 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.) for 4.3l vehicles. Lower the transmission until it reaches the transmission support retaining nut before tightening it to 57 nm (42 ft. Lbs.). Remove the transmission jack and lower your vehicle.
