How to replace the Power Steering Reservoir on the hydraulic pump on GMC Sonoma?

The procedure for hydraulic pump power steering reservoir replacement begins with positioning the pump at a stable flat surface where the shaft faces upwards. By using a screwdriver you should push the retaining clip tab outside while sliding the reservoir clip away from the hydraulic pump assembly. Perform this removal steps with the second reservoir clip before removing the reservoir from the hydraulic pump housing. The O-ring seal located at the reservoir neck needs to be discarded either from the reservoir or hydraulic pump housing. When installing the O-ring seal for the reservoir assembly you must first use power steering fluid to lubricate it then position it around the reservoir neck. Place the reservoir onto the hydraulic pump assembly with its neck extended fully. Adjustment of reservoir feet needs to be accurate to the sides of the hydraulic pump housing before installing new retaining clips which must fit securely into hydraulic pump housing.
