How to replace the alternator bracket on GMC Yukon?

The first step to replace the generator bracket requires removal of both the generator and the Power Steering Pump. Detachment of the engine wiring harness clip bolt allows you to move the clip beyond the generator bracket area. Start by unfastening generator bracket bolts before taking out both the generator bracket and itself. Installation requires placement of the generator bracket against the engine while keeping in mind all fastener caution procedures. Affix the generator bracket bolts by achieving a torque of 50 nm or 37 lb ft. The generator bracket should receive the engine wiring harness clip with the engine harness clip bolt for fixation by tightening up to 9 nm (80 lb in). Install the Power Steering Pump together with the generator at the completion of the installation process.
