First, you need to take off the two nuts holding the cooler lines to the Transmission Oil Cooler when replacing the auxiliary cooler on the 4l60-e automatic transmission. If your car doesn't have the 4.3l engine, take out the four bolts that hold the auxiliary Transmission Oil Cooler to the radiator support, and if it does, you'll also have to remove the four bolts securing the auxiliary Transmission Oil Cooler to the radiator support. Be sure to put in the four bolts that attach the Transmission Oil Cooler to the radiator support for all engines, and tighten them to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Reinstall the grille assembly after the installation, then review the transmission fluid and give it more if required.
