Begin the replacement of the right Engine Mount by performing manifold removal for 4.8l and 5.3l and 6.0l engines or proceeding with 8.1l engine removal. Start by removing the bolts which join the mount brackets for the engine. Raise and support your vehicle before you remove the tire along with the wheel. Oil Pan must not be used to elevate or maintain the engine during this process. Before proceeding attach adjustable screw-type jack stands to support the engine before you take out the right Engine Mount by removing its Engine Mount bolts. Place the right Engine Mount onto the motor so you can insert and tighten its bolts to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Lower down the engine before taking out the adjustable jack stands. You should attach the Engine Mount-to-Engine Mount bracket bolts before torquing them to 65 nm (48 ft. Lbs.). Proceed with reinstallation of the
Exhaust Manifold for 4.8l, 5.3l, 6.0l engines or 8.1l engine followed by the inner wheelhouse panel and tire and wheel assemblies with the option for engine protection shield if present before lowering the vehicle.
