You should start the navigation antenna replacement process by removing both the rear seat back and forward rear compartment trim. The GPS antenna module push-in fasteners must be removed before lowering the GPS module onto the rear compartment floor. You must disconnect the GPS antenna coaxial cable from the Communication Interface Module after disengaging the coaxial cable from the rear shelf carrier retainers to remove the GPS antenna from its position on the rear shelf carrier. Begin the installation process by inserting the GPS antenna coaxial cable into the retainers that exist in the rear shelf carrier before securing the cable retainers. The GPS antenna module should be installed on the rear shelf carrier through push-in fasteners while the GPS antenna coaxial cable connector must join with the Communication Interface Module. Reinstall the forward rear compartment trim as well as the rear seat back.

The first step to replace the global positioning system Antenna for cellular communications and digital radio is to remove the upper rear quarter trim panel while staying away from painting or clear coating the Antenna to protect its operational capabilities. Detach rear assist handles before lowering the rear area of the headliner while ensuring you keep the material free from damaging bends. The process begins with removing the Antenna Cable which extends from above the am/fm Antenna module that requires the removal of foam tape on the connection before disconnecting digital radio Antenna connectors. First remove the Antenna bolt then follow by the expansion sleeve before removing both the digital radio Antenna and the Antenna mast screws holding the Antenna Base together. To install the Antenna mast users should connect it to the Antenna Base while tightening the mast screws to 1 n.m (9 lb in). The digital radio Antenna installation starts by positioning it on the roof followed by guiding the wiring through an Antenna shaft slot and attaching an expansion sleeve and bolt. It is essential to tighten the bolt to 6 n.m (53 lb in). Install the Antenna connectors following their connection and apply foam tape around them before establishing the Antenna Cable link above the am/fm Antenna module while using hold down clips for security. Bug the headliner onto the roof panel while reinstalling the rear assist handles and attaching the upper rear quarter trim panel.

Lower the rear of the headliner and disconnect the antenna cable from the radio antenna module.

Place the antenna assembly back onto the roof and tighten the retaining bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
