How to replace the wiper arm on Chevrolet Venture? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the Wiper Arm, the first step is to twist the Ignition Switch to accy position and, the same way, the Wiper Switch in pulse position. Turn off the ignition when the wiper arms are in on wipe position and moving. Remove the washer hose from washer nozzle, then remove the cover on the nut, then the nut off the wiper transmission drive shaft. Take off the Wiper Arm from the wiper transmission drive shaft through the use of a battery terminal puller, and next, pull off the Wiper Blade from the Wiper Arm. Drag a knurl of the wiper-drive shaft with a wire brush. For installation, attach the Wiper Blade to the Wiper Arm and then attach the Wiper Arm to the wiper transmission drive shaft remembering to keep the measuring device at a 90-degree angle (perpendicular) against the Wiper Blade tip. Take the stretch from Wiper Blade tips to solid side of the glass blackout at 147 mm (5.79 in) from the glass blackout on the lh side and 123 mm (4.84 in) below the glass blackout on the rh side. Replace the nut onto the wiper transmission drive shaft and fit it and tighten at 48 n.m (35 lb ft), and cover the nut. It is good to lubricate the washer hose with a windshield washer solvent for ease of install the washer hose on the washer nozzle and lastly install the washer hose to the washer nozzle. Wipe to test the proper operation.
