    First, open the hood and move the Ignition Switch to accy, and then put the Wiper Switch in the delay position. Before you turn off the ignition, bring the wiper arms to the middle wipe spot. Put masking tape on the windshield at the Wiper Blade tips as a guide when you install the new ones. Take off the washer hose from the air inlet grille panel, then lift off the Wiper Arm nut cover and take out the Wiper Arm nut . Grip the Wiper Arm near the hinge and rock it gently toward the windshield to take it off the wiper shaft, and then remove the Wiper Arm and take off the Wiper Blade from it. For installation, put the Wiper Blade onto the Wiper Arm, checking and cleaning the wiper transmission shaft and Wiper Arm splines if you find any corrosion. Line up the tip of the Wiper Blade with the masking tape marks made on the windshield and mount the Wiper Arm onto the wiper transmission splined shaft. Put the Wiper Arm nut in place and tighten it to 29 nm (21 lb ft). After that, attach the Wiper Arm nut cover and connect the washer hose to the air inlet grille panel. In the end, take off the masking tape from the windshield and see that the wipers are working correctly.

    You must perform the following steps before replacing the Wiper Arm: open the hood, turn to accy ignition position, set the Wiper Switch to delay position. Put the Ignition Switch into off mode when the wiper arms stop their mid-stroke movement. Mark the windshield at each Wiper Blade with masking tape for wiper replacement orientation. Take off the washer hose connection to the air inlet grille and remove the Wiper Arm nut shield as well as the nut. Hold the hinged joint of the Wiper Arm and push it toward the windshield using rocking movements to free it from the wiper shaft before taking out both the Wiper Arm and the Wiper Blade . Install the Wiper Blade onto the Wiper Arm before checking if the wiper transmission shaft and Wiper Arm splines have corrosion. Clean these areas if necessary. Place the Wiper Blade tip against the masking tape marks on the windshield surface before fixing it onto the wiper transmission splined shaft. First fit the Wiper Arm nut on and torque it to 29 n.m (21 lb ft), and then place the Wiper Arm nut cover together with the washer hose back on the air inlet grille panel. Check the wiper movement after undoing the tape from the windshield.
