The repair process requires removal of the side select and shift control cable u-clip from the gear shift lever before extracting the eye ring material from the cable and removing the select control cable e-ring. Detach the shift control cable pin followed by the cable e-ring before removing the shift control cable. Proceed by disconnecting select and shift control cable nuts before retrieving cables to the passenger area. The installation requires feeding cables gently toward the engine compartment through the dash panel hole after which you can position them correctly on the select and shift lever and attach transaxle side select and shift control cables. The gear shift lever side shift control cable must be connected before inserting the gear shift select control cable eye ring onto the select arm pin. Follow with gear shift selector lever control cable clip installation. The gear shift select control cable connects to the gear shift lever bracket using the e-ring then immobilizes the gear shift lever from neutral position with a screwdriver in the select arm adjustment hole. Perform cable assembly for the gear side shift lever before installing the floor console then install the gear cable adjust nut with a torque of 8 - 12 nm (71 - 106 inch lbs.). Complete the procedure by restoring the battery together with the Air Hose.
