    Q:
How to Replace the Rear Seat Belt on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
The Envoy XUV replacement process for the rear seat belt demands that mechanics start by removing the rear seat belt upper guide shoulder bolt then proceed to remove the upper body lock pillar trim panel. First remove the bolt attaching the upper rear seat belt guide to the body structure before proceeding to take out the rear seat belt floor anchor bolt. Install the rear seat belt retractor assembly bolt to connect the rear seat belt retractor assembly to the body. The rear seat belt retractor assembly needs removal from the vehicle following the previous steps. Position the rear seat belt retractor assembly into the vehicle before bolt installation to secure it to the body and tighten the bolts to 70 N.m (52 lb ft). Lay the upper body lock pillar trim panel before you attach the rear seat belt floor anchor bolt with proper webbing alignment before tightening the bolt to 70 N.m (52 lb ft). The last step involves the rear seat belt upper guide installation using the bolt until reaching torque of 70 N.m (52 lb ft). Make sure the seat belt webbing stays untwisted throughout the installation.
