    Q:
How to replace the Air Suspension Compressor on Cadillac Eldorado? Posted by Customer
    A:
First, lift and stabilize the vehicle to replace the Air Suspension Compressor. Clean the components and their surroundings in order to avoid the entry of dirt into the elc system before disconnecting any Air Hose or tube. Remove the air tube from the air dryer, remove the air tube from the Air Suspension Compressor bracket, and remove the vehicle harness connector from the Air Suspension Compressor connector. Subsequently, take out the intake Air Filter and after that remove the three bolts that attach the Air Suspension Compressor assembly to the vehicle and the three bolts from the bracket. Pull off the dryer from the Air Suspension Compressor and break off the Air Hose from the compressor at two points. Position the two brackets on the Air Suspension Compressor with the use of two screws and tighten them to 7 nm (62 inch lb.). Connect the Air Hose to the Air Suspension Compressor at two positions, and install the air dryer to the Air Suspension Compressor. Mount the Air Suspension Compressor assembly to the bracket by using 3 bolts with 3 nm (26 inch lbs.), and then mount the assembly to the vehicle using 3 bolts, tightened to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.). Replace the intake Air Filter and connect the air tube to the air dryer along with the air tube to the Air Suspension Compressor bracket. Finally, connect the vehicle harness connector to the Air Suspension Compressor connector. Before going for a drive, turn the ignition on; give a wait of about 45 seconds that would enable the elc system to carry out the arc to ensure the air adjustable struts are filled with the residual pressure then lowering the vehicle.
