Start by removing the clutch pedal's push rod and then disconnecting the hydraulic tube from the concentric slave cylinder's quick connect coupling. The clutch line removal from the concentric slave cylinder requires the quick connect coupling special tool (J36221) to activate the white plastic sleeve on the quick connect coupling before splitting the clutch line away from the control unit. The next step requires removing clip attachments from the wiring harness bracket as well as sheet metal. Rotate the master cylinder body a 45-degree clockwise rotation to separate it from the cowl panel. Position the master cylinder toward the cowl panel but keep it from twisting excessively to maintain its safety. After ensuring the master cylinder is locked at 45 degrees clockwise, push the clutch pedal down and perform three release cycles to verify correct operation.
