Lock Cylinder, Front

The first step to replace the Door Lock Cylinder starts by raising the window until it reaches maximum height and then proceeding to remove the front door trim panel and front door water deflector. First remove the door outside handle rod from the Door Lock Actuator and then pull out the Door Lock Cylinder rod from the front Door Lock Cylinder. Begin by removing the door outside handle bolts then the door outside handle and finally the door inside locking rod from the door outside handle. To extract the Door Lock Cylinder do the following tasks: break its retaining clip to detach the cylinder and separate the Door Lock Cylinder gasket . Starting with installation begin by putting the Door Lock Cylinder gasket followed by inserting the Door Lock Cylinder and retaining clip. Canadian customers must insert the door inside locking rod into the door outside handle before fastening the door outside handle and door outside handle bolts. Position the door outside handle in the closed position through the lower end of the door outside handle rod which should enter the retainer on the Door Lock Actuator before closing the retainer. The front Door Lock Cylinder rod needs attachment to the front Door Lock Cylinder before reinstalling the front door water deflector.

Remove the door lock cylinder rod.

Reattach the door inside locking rod to the door outside handle and install the door outside handle along with the door outside handle bolts.
