    Q:
How to replace the ignition lock cylinder on Buick LaCrosse? Posted by Customer
    A:
The process starts with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. Start by taking off the steering column trim covers. Drive the key into the Ignition Lock Cylinder then twist it until the run position is reached. A small allen wrench or equivalent tool such as a pick-type tool should be used to push down on the retainer through the lock housing entry hole so you can withdraw the Ignition Lock Cylinder from its housing. When you install a new Ignition Lock Cylinder make sure to program the correct code on it. After aligning the cylinder with the housing slot begin by rotating the key to activate the run function. The key needs turning to the lock setting before being taken out of the Ignition Lock Cylinder. After completing installation the steering column trim covers should be in place along with the battery negative cable reconnection.

    Q:
How to replace the ignition lock cylinder on Chevrolet Camaro? Posted by Customer
    A:
Starting the replacement process requires users to first disconnect their vehicle's battery negative cable. Begin by taking out the protective shielding which covers the steering column. Put the key into the Ignition Lock Cylinder then flip it to the run setting. Depress the retainer through the lock housing access hole with a small allen wrench or comparable tool before removing the Ignition Lock Cylinder from the ignition and start switch housing. Make sure to code a new Ignition Lock Cylinder if you install one. Turn the key to the run position and place the Ignition Lock Cylinder inside the housing where ignition and start switches blend. First turn the key to lock then entirely remove it from the Ignition Lock Cylinder. Complete your installation by placing back the steering column shroud and completing battery negative cable reconnection.
