Window Regulator, Front Driver Side

The first step to replace the front side door Window Regulator involves both raising the window to its highest position then removing the door trim panel. Support the window in its upper position after you have taken away the water deflector. To access the door trim panel wiring harness, use the inner door panel access holes to perform 4 revolutions of window clamp nut removal. The Window Regulator must be lowered to three-fourths position while disconnecting the electrical connector from the motor. After removing bolts numbered (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) from the Window Regulator framework the expert can take the device out of the door. During the fitting stage position the Window Regulator inside the door while following all fastener instructions. The Window Regulator bolts (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) must be tightened to 9 nm (80 lb in). Lower the window down into the Window Regulator clamps so it rests fully at the back of the channel before installation. Begin the vehicle when the power Window Motor electrical connector is in place to maximize Window Motor power that enables correct seating and adjustment. When the window is set to its maximum height you should use 11 nm torque (95 lb in) to secure the window clamp nuts. The vehicle window needs inspection to check operation and fit before turning off power. All components must be placed correctly with the door trim panel and water deflector. Programming of window motors must be completed following any period when power was removed from the Window Motor.

Install the water deflector and the door trim panel.

The window motors need to be programmed/initialized.

Start the vehicle.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the power window motor.

Remove the support from the window and lower the window into the window regulator clamps, ensuring it is fully rearward in the window channel.
