    Q:
How to Properly Service and Repair Coil Springs on Buick LeSabre? Posted by Customer
    A:
The coil spring replacement process begins by raising and securing the vehicle. Start by taking out the tire along with the wheel from the vehicle while using a proper jack to stabilize the Control Arm. Remove the shock's lower retaining bolts after separating the automatic level control air tube from its attachment to the shock unit. The adjustment link can be detached from the lower Control Arm by using the universal steering linkage puller (J 24319-B). Place the lower Control Arm onto the support assembly after a gradual descent. You need a pry bar to lift up the lower Coil Spring Insulator while also extraction of the coil spring and insulator together. You should pull down to extract the upper Coil Spring Insulator. Begin installation by fitting the upper Coil Spring Insulator onto the body followed by inserting the lower Coil Spring Insulator into the Control Arm. Lay the coil spring while making sure the insulator sits correctly inside the bottom Control Arm. The shock absorber retaining bolts need a torque of 24 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) while you keep the lower Control Arm raised during installation. The installation of the adjustment link to the Control Arm requires tightening the retaining nut to 50 nm (36 ft. Lbs.). Continue by reattaching the automatic level control air tube to the shock absorber followed by tire and wheel installation and a vehicle lowering process.

    Q:
How to Replace Coil Springs on Buick LeSabre? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the coil spring, first lift and support your vehicle. Take off the tire and wheel; later, hold the Control Arm with a suitable jack. Remove the air tube from the automatic level control and take out the lower shock absorber bolts. Then, take out the hex nut and unwind the universal steering linkage puller (J24319-B) to spread the adjustment link from the lower Control Arm. Lower the lower Control Arm carefully until it comes to rest on the support assembly. Using a pry bar lift out the bottom Coil Spring Insulator and get rid of the entire coil spring and insulator. Pull the upper insulator for the coil spring downward. For installation, start by installing the upper Coil Spring Insulator onto body, then install the lower Coil Spring Insulator in the Control Arm. Install the coil spring and make sure that the insulator is representative in the lower Control Arm. Jacking up the lower Control Arm, fit the shock absorber keepers and tighten them to 24 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Next, install the adjustment link to the Control Arm and tighten it using the retaining nut, making sure it is tightened with 50 nm (36 ft. Lbs.). Connect the automatic level control air tube back to the shock absorber, reinstall tire and wheel, and lower the vehicle, lastly.

How to Replace Coil Springs with RPO FE7 on Cadillac DeVille? Posted by Customer
    A:
Vehicle service starts by supporting the vehicle at height while replacing coil spring with rpo fe7. Put a suitable jack under the Control Arm while removing wheels and tires from the vehicle body. To begin you must disconnect the electronic level control air tube from the shock then unscrew the two bolts that fix the shock to the Control Arm along with the hex nut. Attach steering linkage puller (J 24319-B) before putting coil spring compressor (J 44255) into place. The Control Arm should be lowered slowly until it touches the support assembly then the coil spring needs removal. Insert the new coil spring into the coil spring compressor (J 44255) while making sure the insulator correctly positions within the Control Arm. Lift the lower Control Arm while installing the two shock bolts until you reach a torque setting of 36 nm (27 ft. Lbs.). Connect and torque the adjustment link at 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.) while rotating it another 200 degrees. Insert the electronic level control air tube into the shock while you replace tires and wheels followed by wheel nut tightening at 125 nm (80 ft. Lbs.). After lowering the vehicle check the toe for alignment then apply corrections when needed.

On installation, make sure that the coil spring is seated at the right place in the lower Control Arm with an insulator at its place. Raise the lower Control Arm and fit the shock absorber lower retaining bolts to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Join the adjustment link to Control Arm and tighten with the retaining nut, tightening to 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.) and + 180°.
